The Harbin Percussion Arts Festival is about to open grandly in Harbin, the City of Music.

Jiang Jinyi, a famous conductor, is a three-time winner of the Excellent Conductor Award of the Ministry of Culture of the People's Republic of China, a national first-class conductor of China National Symphony Orchestra, and serves as the artistic director of the choir and the opera music director of the China Opera and Ballet Theatre. Jiang Jinyi graduated from the Department of Composition and Conducting of Shanghai Conservatory of Music, studying under the legendary conductor and music educator Mr. Huang Xiaotong for eight years. At the same time, he created the history of the only collaboration and conducting of all Shanghai orchestras during his studies since the founding of Shanghai Conservatory of Music, and won the "New Work Promotion Conducting Award" awarded by the Shanghai Musicians Association.

Sun Yi
Sun Yi, Doctor of Music and Art. Currently employed as a position at the China National Symphony Orchestra Timpani, and an artist at Adams in the Netherlands and Infinitive Percussion in Austria.
In 2008, he won the special prize of the Marimba group of the 6th Italian Percussion Day and Fermon International Percussion Arts Festival and Competition with an absolute advantage of 99 points (percentage system).
In 2009, he won the Genius Award of the Second International Marimba Competition in Salzburg, Austria. This award was specially established for Sun Yi.
In the same year, he participated in the China Jianli Percussion Art Festival and competition, and won the first place in the Marimba youth group. His performance piece "Source" was highly praised by the judges.
In 2012, he won the silver medal in the third International Marimba Competition in Salzburg, Austria, becoming the first Chinese musician to achieve the top three results in the history of the competition.
In 2018, he won the gold prize (full orchestra category) of the Shixi University Concerto Competition with an absolute advantage, and cooperated with the Shixi Symphony Orchestra to perform the percussion concerto composed by Chen Yi, a Chinese-American composer, that year. Sun Yi is also the first Chinese percussionist to win this honor in the history of the competition.
As an active Chinese percussionist on the international stage, Sun Yi's footprints are all over Europe, the United States and Asia. He has been invited to participate in domestic and foreign percussion art festivals and competitions many times, serving as a judge and performing guest. Recent activities include: the Spanish Modern Percussion Music Festival (Àgora Actual Percussió), the Dutch Adams Percussion Festival, the Italian "Day of Percussion" and the International Percussion Competition (Daysof Percussion and International Italy Percussion Competition), the Staller Center For the Arts Percussion Concerto Concert (Staller Center For the Arts), etc. In September 2019, Sun Yi was invited by the Italian Percussion Association to participate in the judging role of the Italian International Percussion Competition Timpani group.
Mo Hanyin
Mo Hanyin, a young percussionist, is a master's degree holder in percussion at the Mozarteum University of Music and Arts in Salzburg, Austria. He is currently a percussionist teacher at Sichuan Conservatory of Music, the principal Timpani of the Sichuan Symphony Orchestra, the artistic director of Hanle Percussion Orchestra, the international endorser of Adams, and the endorser of "Hanqi" drumsticks. He has won the "Best Timpani Performance Award" at the Bulgarian International Percussion Competition. He has held solo concerts at home and abroad many times and participated in large and medium-sized performances such as chamber orchestras, symphonies, and chamber concerts. He has been invited to hold master classes in many places, participated in a large number of exchange practices, music festivals, and academic sharing activities.
Lyu Zhengdao
He has taught at the Orchestral Department of Shenyang Conservatory of Music and also served as a member of the China National Opera House Symphony Orchestra. He graduated from Central Conservatory of Music and studied under Professor Liu Guangsi and Liu Gang. Currently, he also serves as a regular director of the China Percussion Association and the Liaoning Percussion Association. He is also the spokesperson for Marimba One, Hanqi Percussion, and JG Percussion. As a solo performer, he has held solo and concerto performances at many well-known music festivals and events at home and abroad, such as the 2008 Olympic Music Season, National Centre for the Performing Arts Summer Music Season, Taipei Newcomer Series Performances, Shenyang International Percussion Week, etc. The solo works he has participated in recording have also been produced and distributed by record companies such as Naxos Records. As a teacher, he has received the "Excellent Teaching Teacher of Percussion" award and other awards from Shanghai Conservatory of Music. He has led the Shenyang "Stick and Drum Percussion Orchestra" to regularly hold concerts and has toured many countries and regions in Europe and Asia with the percussion orchestra. He has also served as a judge for many international and domestic competitions, such as the Korea Jeju "International Wind and Percussion Competition", the Shanghai IPEA International Percussion Education Association Competition, the National Youth Percussion Competition, etc.
Feng Jun
A famous Chinese jazz drummer, Jianli Percussion Ensemble drummer, executive director of the IPEA Association, vice president and judge of the Drum Players' Union, spokesperson for Meipais, Zhiyin Jiao Film, and Hanpai drumsticks, and one of the solid, technically comprehensive, and theoretically systematic jazz drummers in China. He serves as an expert judge for many percussion competitions across the country and conducts master classes in many regions.

Harbin Concert Hall
Harbin Concert Hall is located in Qunli Jinhe Park, with a total construction area of 36,109 square meters and a total height of 30 meters. Among them, the ground construction area is 11,850 square meters, the underground construction area is 24,259 square meters, and there are a total of 441 parking spaces. The Harbin New Concert Hall has 1,200 large concert halls, 400 small concert halls, waiting halls, VIP lounges, staff lounges, etc. The Harbin New Concert Hall was officially started in May 2011 with a total investment of 690 million yuan. It is a major cultural project in Harbin City and a key project in the Qunli Cultural Demonstration Zone of Heilongjiang Province.
The Harbin New Music Hall adopts the design scheme of the famous Japanese planning and design agency Sasaki New Studio. The overall shape adopts the design of "floating ice crystals", which not only harmonizes with the ice carving art of Harbin, but also integrates with the ice and snow culture concept of Qunli New District. It will become a new landmark building in Harbin. In the contrast of the night sky, the "floating ice crystals" are crystal clear, like a dazzling diamond illuminating the night of Harbin, the "City of Music".
A pipe organ produced by the world-famous Italian Rufaudi Company is set up in the concert hall to bring people a shocking visual and auditory enjoyment. The organ is not only the first organ in Harbin and even the three northeastern provinces, but also the first organ imported from Italy in China. The high-quality construction of the concert hall will lay the foundation for Harbin's music culture's influence at home and abroad.
Harbin Symphony Orchestra
Harbin Symphony Orchestra is a symphony orchestra with a hundred-year history and strong strength.
In April 1908, the orchestra of the Russian Foreign Amur Railway Infantry Brigade performed Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overture in Harbin, marking the beginning of the first symphony concert in Chinese history. The orchestra was later adapted into the first symphony orchestra in China - the Middle East Railway Club Symphony Orchestra, which was composed mainly of Russian immigrants at that time and was the predecessor of the Harbin Symphony Orchestra.
In recent years, the Harbin Symphony Orchestra has cooperated with many famous conductors at home and abroad, including Zubin Mehta, Anatoly Levin, Alexander Pogradsky, Zheng Xiaoying, Tang Muhai, Chen Suiyang, Li Xincao, Yang Yang, Cai Jindong, etc.
In 2009, the Harbin Symphony Orchestra, accompanied by the Harbin Municipal Government delegation, made friendly visits and performances successively in the Concert Hall of Aarhus, Denmark, the Golden Hall of Vienna, Austria, and Athens, Greece National Centre for the Performing Arts, and then visited Russia, Japan and other places. In 2016, at the invitation of the United Nations General Assembly, a 100-member orchestra composed of the Harbin Symphony Orchestra and the Ural Model Philharmonic Orchestra performed the "Voice of Friendship" symphony concert of the United Nations General Assembly at the Palace of Nations.
In 2011, the Harbin Concert Hall and the Harbin Symphony Orchestra merged into one hall. According to the internationalized operation and management model, the Harbin Symphony Orchestra formulated detailed rehearsal and performance plans and long-term development goals to build a professional orchestra. While completing performances in the two music seasons of winter and summer every year, the Harbin Symphony Orchestra has also successfully completed the performances of a series of concerts such as the China·Harbin Summer Concert, the Harbin New Year's Concert, the China·Harbin Ice and Snow Festival, the China-Russia Expo, and the China-Russia Art Festival. The orchestra now has a number of excellent Russian professional artists joining, which can better interpret Russian works and also improve the international level of the Harbin Symphony Orchestra.
