The heart-wrenching "strike" came roaring with the sound of "arrows", sharp and beautiful, rhythmic and powerful, echoing in the Grand Theater of the Liuzhou Cultural and Art Center last night (May 16), shaking the hearts of the audience. Jianli Percussion Ensemble from Beijing, with the rhythm of youth and passionate performance, "moved" the enthusiastic audience in Liuzhou and turned the applause into the harmony section of the "percussion concert" that night.
The "Jianli Percussion Ensemble Chinese and Foreign Famous Songs Concert" of the evening's performance of "Huayun Shangcheng" was unique in its creativity, rich in repertoire, and integrated with audio-visual elements. The melodies of Beethoven's "To Alice," Schubert's "The Trout," and Johann Strauss's "Champagne Polka" and "Hunting Polka" are well-known to the audience in Longcheng. However, after a fiery and different "percussion" of youth, or a torrential and rhythmic tapping, or a gentle and low whisper, or a surging wave, it evokes an extraordinary "new sound." Even when playing the symphonic masterpiece "Symphony No. 40" by Mozart, it leads the audience in Longcheng to sway with the rhythm of the music.
Hosted by the Propaganda Department of the Municipal Party Committee and the Municipal Bureau of Culture, and sponsored by the Liuzhou Daily Newspaper, the Municipal Radio and Television Center and the Municipal Art Theater, this concert ended with a lingering curtain in the joy of the performers and the Liuzhou audience.
