Touring percussionists in Europe and the United States,He learned piano since he was a child, and began to learn percussion under his father's guidance.In 2004, he was admitted to Central Conservatory of Music affiliated middle school and studied percussion under Professor Central Conservatory of Music Zhao Ji at Central Conservatory of Music. In 2010, he received a full scholarship to Cleveland, USA, where he studied under Tom Freer, the principal percussionist of the Cleveland Symphony Orchestra, and Gwen Burgett, a Marimba player. In 2014, Chen Ge was admitted to the only position at the National Conservatory of Music in Strasbourg, France, where he studied under Emmanuel Séjourné, a world-renowned percussion composer and performer. In 2017, he obtained a performer's diploma and continued to pursue the highest performing degree.
Since 2018, the Marimba Concerto No. 7 White Snake Legend, specially composed by Belgian-Taiwanese composer Chin-cheng Lin for the performer Chen Ge, was premiered on tour in China, collaborating with the Shenzhen Symphony Orchestra, Hebei Symphony Orchestra, Harbin Symphony Orchestra, Xinghai Conservatory of Music Symphony Orchestra and Shanxi University Symphony Orchestra, and received great attention and unanimous praise from the industry.
